Ditemukan juga cerita Cinderella dari Cina. Tokohnya bernama Ye Xian. Kalau di Jepang,bernama Chujo-hime. Sedangkan di Korea disebut Kongji. Diperkirakan ada 1500 versi Cinderella.
Cerita Cinderella paling terkenal dari Charles Perrault. Dibuat tahun 1697. Cerita ini terkenal karena adanya ibuperi, kereta labu, dan sepatu kaca. Selain pak Charles, Brothers Grimm juga mempopulerkan Cinderella.
Kalau sepatu,ada yang dari kaca dan dari emas. Kalau bulu? Pak Charles Perrault dari Prancis,ia mendengar cerita Cinderella dari seorang pendongeng. Diperkirakan ia bingung mendengar si pendongeng mengatakan verre (gelas) atau vair(bulu). Jadi,mungkin saja,ada Cinderella bersepatu bulu.

Once upon a time there lived an unhappy young girl. Her mother was dead and her father had married a widow with two daughters. Her stepmother didn’t like her one little bit. All her kind thoughts and loving touches were for her own daughters. Nothing was too good for them – dresses, shoes, delicious food, soft beds, and every home comfort. But, for the poor unhappy girl, there was nothing at all. No dresses, only her stepsisters’ hand-me-downs. No lovely dishes, nothing but scraps. No rest and no comfort. She had to work hard all day. When evening came was she allowed to sit for a while by the fire, near the cinders. Hence her name, Cinderella.
Buttons the footman, who also worked in the house was kind to Cinderella
“Cheer up! You have something neither of your stepsisters has and that is beauty.”
Buttons was right. Cinderella, even dressed in old rags, was a lovely girl. While her stepsisters, no matter how splendid and elegant their clothes, were still clumsy, lumpy and ugly and always would be.
One day Buttons came into kitchen to collect the breakfast trays. Today he had some important news: an envelope with a royal seal had arrived and in it was an invitation for all three sisters to attend. Buttons tried to cheer Cinderella up by telling her what a wonderful time she would have at the ball, of how the prince would fall in love with her and help her to escape from the clutches of her sisters.
The next day two beautiful new dresses arrived at the house. This meant that the stepsisters were getting ready to go. Cinderella didn’t even dare ask if she could go too. She knew very well what the answer would be: “You? You’re staying at home to wash the dishes, scrub the floors and turn down the beds for your stepsisters.” They will come home tired and very sleepy.
As soon as she was on her own, Cinderella sat by the fireside and wept. Suddenly something very strange happened. As Cinderella was sitting all alone, there was a burst of light and a woman surrounded in swathe of light appeared.
“Who are you?” asked an alarmed Cinderella.
“Don’t be frightened, Cinderella,” said the woman. “I am your fairy godmother. I know you would love to go to the ball. And so you shall!” “How can I, dressed in rags?” Cinderella replied. “The servants will turn me away!”
Her fairy godmother smiled. With a flick of her magic wand Cinderella found herself wearing the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. “Now for your coach,” said her fairy godmother ; “A real lady would never go to a ball on foot! Quick! Get me a pumpkin!”
“Of course,” said Cinderella, rushing away.
” And seven mice” yelled the fairy after her
Cinderella soon returned with the pumpkin and the cat with seven mice he had caught in the cellar. With a flick of the magic wand the pumpkin turned into a sparkling coach and the mice became six white horses, while the seventh mouse turned into a coachman in a smart uniform and carrying a whip. Cinderella could hardly believe her eyes.
“You shall go to the ball Cinderella. But remember! You must leave at midnight. That is when my spell ends. Your coach will turn back into a pumpkin and the horses will become mice again. You will be dressed in rags and wearing clogs instead of these glass slippers! Do you understand?”
Cinderella smiled and said, “Yes, I understand!”
Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball until she heard the first stroke of midnight! She remembered what the fairy had said, and without a word of goodbye she slipped from the Prince’s arms and ran down the steps. As she ran she lost one of her slippers, but not for a moment did she dream of stopping to pick it up! If the last stroke of midnight were to sound… oh… what a disaster that would be! Out she fled and vanished into the night.
The Prince, who was now madly in love with her, picked up the slipper and said to his ministers, “Go and search everywhere for the girl whose foot this slipper fits. I will never be content until I find her!” So the ministers tried the slipper on the foot of every girl in the land until only Cinderella was left.
“That awful untidy girl simply cannot have been at the ball,” snapped the stepmother. “Tell the Prince he ought to marry one of my two daughters! Can’t you see how ugly Cinderella is?”
But, to everyone’s amazement, the shoe fitted perfectly.
Suddenly the fairy appeared and waved her magic wand. In a flash, Cinderella appeared in a splendid dress, shining with youth and beauty. Her stepmother and stepsisters gaped at her in amazement, and the ministers said, “Come with us Cinderella! The Prince is waiting for you.“
So Cinderella married the Prince and lived happily ever. Buttons could only brush away a tear as they rode away.

When Cinderella entered the palace, everyone was stunned by her beautiful face. In fact, no one recognized her because she was so different. Cinderella was so pretty with the dress and the glass slippers. A handsome prince also saw Cinderella and he fell in love. He met Cinderella and asked, “Do you want to dance?” And she said, “yes, I want to dance with you”. Prince and Cinderella danced during the night and she was so happy at that night. She forgot the fairy godmother warning that she should go home in the middle of the night. At the last moment, Cinderella remembered her promise to the fairy godmother and went home. “I must go!”, said her. She ran quickly and one of her glass slippers left but she did not come back to pick it up.
Cinderella arrived home a few minutes later. When she arrived, the clock struck in twelve. The horses and the buggy back into the previous shape and she did not wear the glass slippers and the beautiful dress anymore. After that, her stepmother and sisters came home and talked about the beautiful women who danced with the prince. They were very curious about the identity of the woman who suddenly appeared.
In the palace, Prince kept thinking about Cinderella and he fell in love. Prince wanted to find out the identity of the girl, but he even did not know her name. Prince has only found the glass slipper, and he said, “I will find her, and I will marry the woman whose foot fits into this glass slipper!”.
In the next day, the prince and his bodyguards went to all the existing home. They wanted to find a woman whose foot matched with the size of the shoe. Cinderella stepsisters also tried the glass slipper but their feet do not match. When Cinderella wanted to try, her stepmother prevented and forbidden her. However, the prince said, “let her trying!”. When Cinderella wore a glass slipper, she had a perfect leg for the shoe. The prince then recognized her and he was convinced that she was a woman who danced with him at the dance. He married Cinderella and they lived happily.

Cinderella was introduced as a hero in this story. She struggled against the bad treatment from her step mother and sisters.
Complication: it is such the crisis of the story. If there is not the crisis, the story is not a narrative text. In a long story, the complication appears in several situations. It means that some time there is more then one complication. In this Cinderella story, we can see clearly that there are Major Complication and Minor Complication.
The second paragraph is the major complication of this Cinderella story. Cinderella got bad treatment from her stepmother. It is the bad crisis which drives into several minor complications which Cinderella has to overcome.
Resolution: it is the final series of the events which happen in the story. The resolution can be good or bad. The point is that it has been accomplished by the characters.

Cinderella
Once upon a time, Cinderella lived with her mother and father. Sadly, her mother was died and her father got remarried. Her stepmother had two daughters, so Cinderella had two step sisters. They were so nice to her and Cinderella was so happy about that.
One day, her father had to go to out of town for working. Cinderella was left at home with her stepmother and step sisters. They acted differently towards her. They were so cruel and asked Cinderella to be their maid. She was so sad about that.
After few days, Cinderella got bad news that her father was died in accident while working. Her stepmother and step sisters treated Cinderella even worse. She was not allowed to have a good meal , dresses, shoes, and stuff, and proper room and bed for her.
On the other side, there was a King that looking for a wife for her son. Therefore, he held a party and invited all the girls. Cinderella wanted to come to the party, but her stepmother and step sisters definitely forbade her to come. She was so sad looking her stepmother and step sisters went there beautifully.
A fairy felt so sorry about her and helped her by giving her beautiful dress, shoes, and train to go there. She went there and met the Prince. They danced all along the night. Unfortunately, she had to be back at home before 12 or she turned into the way she before. They were separated, but Cinderella accidentally left her shoe, because she was in hurry.
Next day, the Kingdom especially the Prince looked for the owner of the shoe. All girls tried to wear that shoe, but no one seemed to be the owner. Cinderella appeared and tried the shoe. She was the owner of the shoe, so the shoe fitted on her. The Prince was so happy that he finally met her. Cinderella and the Prince got married and lived happily ever after.

Snow White grew very beautiful and one day a Prince riding by, saw her at work and fell in love with her.
The queen was beautiful too, and every day she asked her Magic Mirror, “Who is the fairest in the land?” and the mirror always answered, “You are the fairest one of all”.
But one day the mirror answered Snow White was the fairest in the land, and in a rage the queen gave orders to one of her Huntsmen to take Snow White into the woods and kill her.
The Huntsman had a kind heart and couldn’t do the deed so told her to run away. She fled into the woods where Seven little dwarfs lived. Their house was small and strange.
Snow White entered the little house and finding it very untidy, started to clean up. Upstairs she found seven little beds. She was very tired and stretching out on one of the beds, was soon asleep.
When the Dwarfs came home they were surprised to find Snow White and after some argument, decided to let her stay. She promised to cook and look after them.
The Queen discovered where Snow White was living and disguising herself as a witch, took a poisoned apple and set out for the Dwarfs cottage. She gave Snow White the poisoned apple to eat and as soon as she bit the apple, she sank into unconsciousness.
Thinking she was dead, the Dwarfs built a glass coffin and put her in it. For days she lay in the forest in her glass coffin. One day, the Prince was riding through the forest looking for Snow White and found her. He leaned over and kissed her. She opened her eyes and sat up with a smile. Everyone was happy. The Prince took Snow White to his palace where they were married and lived happily ever after.

Her mother had licked her inside the attic. But the soldiers find him and the shoe fits at her perfectly! She then marries the prince and becomes the Princess. Botn of them live happily ever after!
